Sodium Fluoride

Sodium Fluoride Instructions for Use

Sodium fluoride is an ideal anti-glycolytic agent. Its main function is to inhibit the activity of enzymes involved in glycolysis. The sodium fluoride products inhibit glycolysis by blocking the action of enolase. In daily work. the specimen could be generally preserved for 7 days. Sodium fluoride is often used for blood glucose testing. It should be noted that sodium fluoride may have enzyme inhibitory activity and is not suitable for the situation of enzyme immunoassay. Therefore, it cannot be used for urea enzymatic determination to assay the urea, nor for alkaline phosphatase and starch enzyme assay.
